Hi,
My name is Holly.
I am a Korean housewife and English is my second language. I was born and raised in a very southern part of South Korea, a lovely fishing town called "Tong-Young". I currently live in
I am not a trained chef nor in the business of the food industry. Growing up with wonderful cooks in the family, cooking became a natural thing for me. I did not cook until I got married, though. I realized how important it is to be able to feed my family with home cooked meals. Although my first attempt of making Kimchee was a disaster, that became the beginning of my journey.
I have lived in many places in Asia including Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and traveled to many other countries. I respect, admire, and enjoy the cuisines from all over the world and my desire of trying their food never ceases. But at the end of the day when I need my comfort I always look for Korean food, the food of my home country.
Blogging is a new thing for me to learn. I wanted to keep a record of my recipes not just for my sake but for my children as well. So someday when I am no longer with them, they can remember the food they have eaten at home, and be able to make themselves. That's how I made my blog more tutorial. This is my gift for them.
However, it will be a great honor if my recipes inspire other people on the planet through the power of internet. It is awesome to be able to communicate with other people through food. So, cook up some Korean food tonight. Follow me, and I will show you how.
Welcome to my world of Korean cooking and beyond!
